Stop. Take a breath. Feel the rhythm of the moment, the swaying of the seasons around you. Listen to the beat of your heart, the whistle of air in your lungs, the melody of the spirit within calling you to the dance. Feel the song of life all around you. Feel the music.
This Beltane, CMA invites you to join the community as we celebrate the music that fills and drives our lives, from chant to drum to dance. Join us as we lift our voices and our spirits, as we sing back the spring and revel in the rhythm of renewal. We are pleased to present several new and returning bands from across the state, spanning a side variety of musical genres:
*Rashani – didgeridoo player and teacher
*Ayouen – Three Bards of Light
*Nero's Opening Act – High energy goth death metal
*Ghost of a Rose – An eclectic duo – Ren Fair/Pagan/Celtic
*WyrdGirl – Pagan Folk/Rock
*Sin – Classic/Modern rock with an edge

Workshops this Beltane include: Flintknapping, Beaded Jewelry making, Indian Massage, Papercrete 101, Elemental Belly dancing, Major Arcana Tarot, Goddess Runes, Yoga, Tai Chi, Labyrinth Stone Painting, Acupressure for Lovers, Guided Meditation, Reiki 101 and more! Youth workshops include "Your First Book of Shadows" and "Make Your Own Medicine Bag."

Rituals this festival are presented by various members of the CMA community. They include a Thursday night opening ritual from members of Dolendrag, a delicious chocolate ritual just for Beltane and Rainbow Camp's Feel the Music circle.

But wait, there's more! Swing by the Song of Spring art show and marvel at the fruits of our members’ creativity (or show off your talent by entering your own submission)! If music, singing or storytelling is more your style - stop in for a good old- fashioned Ceilie around the campfire. Try your luck and wits at the Beltane Games (18 and up only - but don't worry, we have the Haven Games, i.e., Junior HIghland Games for the kiddos). On Saturday evening, come to CMA-1 for the community Hafla (don't forget to tip your lovely dancers!) and catered dinner. Each night culminates with the lighting of the revel fire. Come down to drum and dance the night away!

This Beltane, the Faerie Court (aka Youth Services Team) is pleased to present the 2nd Annual Faerie Ball! Dress up in your Fae finery and bring your dancing shoes for this fanciful fundraiser (proceeds go towards CMA's children’s programming). Entertainment, auctions, tasty treats and a feast for the eyes will be provided. Watch out for the faerie punch - you never know if you'll lose a single night or a whole year! See the Youth Services booth at the festival for tickets or more information, or to pre-order contact Andrew at chaynlynx@yahoo.com to reserve your tickets.

Due to current economic conditions, we are expanding slots for our work exchange program. If you experiencing financial difficulties, we can arrange to trade extra community service shifts in exchange for your ticket fee. For more information, contact board@magickal-arts.org.
